Day 16: Church and a Day with the Members

Rodd and I taught Sharing Time in Primary.
Primary leader asked us to join her family for lunch.
We went to her house for lunch and were there the entire day talking and walking around with her family.
It was fun but a very long day considering yesterdays excursion to segovia and Avila.

Veal burgers for dinner? Delicious.

Yes... it's about 9:30 in the morning. :)

Rodd and I taught sharing time in Primary! When we got there, they had a treat for us called 'Pan de Cadiz'. Its a sweet bread with fruit in the middle that is typical during Christmastime.

After church, the leader of the primary asked us if we wanted to come home with her family and have lunch. We were both tired from a very long and full week (especially yesterday!) but we wanted to go and enjoy time with their family.

They live on the very edge of Salamanca. When we got there, 

we went for a walk with the kids while the mother prepared lunch.

The kids found a basketball hoop, so we played for a while and hung out.

Their little girl really took to Rodd! He was really cute with her.

After lunch, some of their relatives came over for a visit.

These are two of her sister-in-laws. It was fun to visit with them and learn more about their culture.

Okay, this picture isn't that great, but their dog was so cute!

He was totally playing soccer by himself in the living room while we chatted.

Soccer is so big in Spain, even their dogs are playing it! :) Literally... so cute.

We went for a really long walk. It was nice to get out but we were so tired from a long week!

One of the kids found a tire along the way and pushed it all the way home!

It's funny to see how much culture effects people... this would never have happened in the U.S.!

Did I mention they walk a lot in Spain? Yeah... a lot.

Even the dog got tired and she had to carry him! Haha, seriously.

She said he doesn't like to go outside. They have to carry him out of the house to go walking... HAHA.

SO DELICIOUS. 

One of my favorite meals to date... And maybe I was just a little bit hungry.

Plus it was nice to have something even relatively familiar. :)
