Class is still going well and I'm learning a lot! Everyday I'm amazed at how beautiful the city is. After class, our activity for the day was to go to thee Art Deco Museum. We weren't allowed to take any pictures inside, but it was really cool! Lots of amazing art that really represented their culture and history well. It was a nice break from the usual museum and city tours that we typically do. :)

Inside a cafe inside the museum, we had churros and hot chocolate.
Their churros are shaped like the ones at home, but are not covered in sugar... They only give you sugar if you ask for it. Also, the chocolate is so thick! Like chocolate syrup consistency, or a little thinner.

Dinner in Spain is super late and a lot more simple than lunch.
Tonight: Pork and tomatoes.
Dinner is usually a meat an a veggie/salad.
Most Spaniards don't eat dinner until right before they go to bed, around 10:30pm or so,
but they accommodate Americans by allowing us to eat a little earlier, around 8:00 pm. ;)
We left after dinner to find a treat and stumbled upon a pastry shop and tried some of their pastries!
They were all delicious!

In my conversation class the other day, we talked about how Spaniards love gummy candies. They have these candy stores that have an entire wall of random gummies in all different shapes: fried egg shape with yolk, pizza, hamburger, fruits, animals, etc. We were browsing a candy store tonight and saw that they have ice cream cone shaped gummies (the cone is legit and the ice cream part is gummy) and FLAN shaped gummies. It is the funnies thing! They love gummies so much they are in every shape and flavor... literally!
